Zambia National Public Health Institute (Amendment) Act, 2024

An Act to amend the Zambia National Public Health
Institute Act, 2020. [26th December, 2024
ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. This Act may be cited as the Zambia National Public Health
Institute (Amendment) Act, 2024, and shall be read as one with
the Zambia National Public Health Institute Act, 2020, in this Act
referred to as the principal Act. 2. Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion of
the following new definition in the appropriate place:
“National Health Research and Training Institute” means
the National Health Research and Training Institute
established under the National Research and Training Institute
Act, 2024;. 3. Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by the—
(a) insertion of the figure “(1)” immediately after the figure
“4”;
(b) deletion of paragraph (p) and the substitution therefor of
the following:
(p) conduct research, to ensure public health security
and global health security;; and
(c) insertion of the following new subsection immediately
after subsection (1):
(2) The research referred to under subsection (1)
(p) shall be conducted in accordance with the
National Health Research Act, 2013. Short title
