An Act to amend the Urban and Regional Planners Act, 2011. [20th May, 2021 ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. This Act may be cited as the Urban and Regional Planners (Amendment) Act, 2021, and shall be read as one with the Urban and Regional Planners Act, 2011, in this Act referred to as the principal Act. 2. Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion of the following new definitions in the appropriate places in alphabetical order: “Higher Education Authority” means the Higher Education Authority established under the Higher Education Act, 2013;; and “Zambia Qualifications Authority” means the Zambia Qualifications Authority established under the Zambia Qualifications Authority Act, 2011. 3. Section 15 (1) of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of paragraph (b) and the substitution therefor of the following: (b) holds a qualification accredited and recognised by the Zambia Qualifications Authority;. 4. Section 29(b) of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of the words “and training” immediately after the word “development”. Section 42 of the principal Act is amended by the— (a) deletion of subsection (1); and (b) renumbering of subsections (2), (3) and (4) as (1),(2) and (3), respectively. 6. Section 60 of the principal Act is amended by the — (a) deletion paragraph (g); and (b) renumbering of paragraphs (h),(i),)j),(k) and (l) as paragraphs (g),(h),(i),(j) and (k), respectively.
