An Act to amend the Zambia Law Development
Commission Act. [24th March, 2021
ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. The Act may be cited as the Zambia Law Development
Commission (Amendment) Act, 2021, and shall be read as one
with the Zambia Law Development Commission Act, in this Act
referred to as the principal Act. 2. Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion of
the following new subsections immediately after subsection 2:
(3) The Minister may give the Commission general
or specific directions relating to the performance of its
functions and the Commission shall give effect to these
directions to the extent that the directions are not
inconsistent with this Act. (4) The Minister may enter into performance
contracts with the Commission for a specified period which
shall be consistent with the provisions of this Act. 3. Section 5(1)(b) of the principalAct is amended by the deletion
of subparagraph (ii) and substitution therefor of the following:
