GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA
ACT
No. 17 of 1998

An Act to amend the Zambia Centre for Accountancy
Studies Act
[12th October, 1998
ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia.
1. This Act may be cited as the Zambia Centre for Accountancy
Studies (Amendment) Act, 1998, and shall be read as one with the
Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies Act, in this Act referred to
as the principal Act.
2. Section six of the principal Act is amended by the deletion
of subsection (1) and the substitution therefor of the following:
(1) The Board shall consist of nine members appointed by
the Minister as follows:
(a) a Chairman;
(b) the Director;
(c) the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry responsible
for vocational training;
(d) the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry responsible
for financial management;
vocational training;
(d) the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry responsible
for financial management;
(e) one person from the Zambia Institute of Certified
Accountants;
(f) one person from the Zambia Association of
Chambers of Commerce and Industry; and
(g) three registered accountants.

Repeal and
replacement
of section 15 3. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section fifteen
Director and and the substitution therefor of the following:

Director
15. (1) The Board shall appoint on such terms and
conditions as it may determine, a Director who, subject to the
control of the Board, shall be the chief executive officer of the
Centre and shall be responsible for the administration of the
Centre.
(2) The Board may appoint on such terms and conditions
