An Act to amend the Weights and Measures Act.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Weights and Measures Enactment
(Amendment) Act, 2013, and shall be read as one with the Weights Short title
and Measures Act, in this Act referred to as the principal Act. and

(2) This Act shall come into operation on 1st January, 2014. ment

The Thirteenth Schedule to the principal Act is amended in
paragraph 9 by the—
(a) deletion in clause (b) of subparagraph (1) of the words Amendment
"fees, levy"; and of
Thirteenth
(b) insertion in sub-paragraph (2), immediately after clause Schedule
(b), of the following new clause:
(c) any fees, fines and penalties charged and collected
under this Act shall form part of the general
revenues of the Republic.
