The National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council (Amendment) Act, 2021

An Act to amend the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB
Council Act, 2002. [ 24th March, 2021
ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. This Act may be cited as the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB
Council (Amendment) Bill, 2021, and shall be read as one with the
National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council Act, 2002, in this Act referred
to as the principal Act. 2. Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion
of the following new subsections immediately after subsection
(2):
(3) The Minister may give the Council general or specific
directions relating to the performance of its functions and
the Council shall give effect to these directions to the extent
that the directions are not inconsistent with this Act. (4) The Minister may enter into performance contracts with
the Council for a specified period which shall be consistent
with the provisions of this Act. 3. Section 5(1) of the principal Act is amended by the deletion
of paragraph (a) and the substitution therefor of the following:
(a) a representative of the ministry responsible for —
(i) community development and social services;
(ii) education;
(iii) health; and
(iv) youth, sport and child development;. Enactment
