The Money Lenders (Amendment) Act, 2021

ENTITLED
An Act to amend the Money-Lenders Act.
[30th December, 2021
ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Money-Lenders
(Amendment) Act, 2021, and shall be read as one with the Money-
Lenders Act, in this Act referred to as the principal Act.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on 1st January, 2022.
2. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of
the words “four hundred and fifty fee units or, if the licence be
taken out not more than six months before the expiration thereof,
three hundred fee units” and the substitution therefor of the words
“thirty-three thousand, three hundred and thirty-three or, if the licence
be taken out not more than six months before the expiration thereof,
twenty-two thousand, two hundred and twenty-two fee units”.
