An Act to amend the Landlord and Tenant (Business
Premises) Act.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia.
1. This Act may be cited as the Landlord and Tenant (Business
Premises) (Amendment) Act, 2020 and shall be read as one with
the Landlord and Tenant (Business Premises) Act, in this Act
referred to as the principal Act.
2. Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of
the definition of “court” and the substitution therefor of the following:
“court”means—
(a) in relation to premises for which the rent demanded exceeds
one hundred thousand kwacha per year, the High Court;
or
(b) in relation to all other premises, a subordinate court of the
first class.
