An Act to amend the Judiciary Administrattion Act. [11th April, 2018 ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. This Act may be cited as the Judiciary Administration (Amendment) Act, 2018 and shall be read as one with the Judiciary Administration Act, 2016, in this Act referred to as the principal Act. 2. The principal Act is amended by the deletion of section 13 and substitution therefor of the following: 13. (1) A judge of a superior court shall have a research advocate, who is a practitioner. (2) The Judicial Service Commission may appoint research assistants for surbordinate courts with such qualification as it may determine. (3) Despite subsection (2), a person shall only be appointed as a research assistant if the person is a holder of a bachelor of laws degree from a recognised university.
