An Act to amend the Presidential Emoluments Act.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. Enactment
This Act may be cited as the Presidential Emoluments Short title
(Amendment) Act, 2009, and shall be read as one with the
Presidential Emoluments Act, in this Act referred to as the principal Cap. 261
Act.
The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section two Repeal and
and the substitution therefor of the following: replacement
section 2
2. (1) The President shall be paid a salary and allowances at Salary and
such rate as the Minister responsible for finance may prescribe, by allowances
statutory instrument, in consultation with the Standing Orders
Committee of the National Assembly.
(2) For the avoidance of doubt, the President shall continue to
receive the salary and allowances applicable until the coming into
operation of such statutory instrument as the Minister responsible
for finance may prescribe under subsection (1).
