An Act to amend the Constitutional Offices (Emoluments)
Act. [12th August, 2009
ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. Enactment
This Act may be cited as the Constitutional Offices Short title
(Emoluments) (Amendment) Act, 2009, and shall be read as one
with the Constitutional Offices (Emoluments) Act, in this Act Cap. 263
referred to as the principal Act. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section two Repeal and
replacement
and the substitution therefor of the following section: of section 2
2. (1 )There shall be paid to the holder of an office specified Salary and
allowances
in the Schedule, a salary and allowances at such rate as the
Minister responsible for finance may prescribe, by statutory
instrument, in consultation with the Standing Orders
Committee of the National Assembly.

(2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Schedule to this Act,
a holder of an office to whom subsection (1) applies, shall
continue to receive the salaries and allowances applicable
until the coming into operation of such statutory instrument
as the Minister responsible for finance may prescribe under
subsection (1). 3. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of the Schedule
thereto and the substitution therefor of the Schedule set out in the
