An Act to remove certain doubts relating to the registration of Bills of Sale and for
matters connected therewith.
[11th August, 1961]
1. This Act may be cited as the Bills of Sale (Registration) Act, and shall be read
as one with the Lands and Deeds Registry Act.
Short title

2. It is hereby declared for the removal of doubt that the provisions of the Bills of
Sale Acts, 1878-1882, of the United Kingdom, requiring the registration and re-registration
of Bills of Sale under those Acts, are not in force and have not, since the commencement
of the Lands and Deeds Registry Act, been in force in Zambia.
