In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires- “Association” means the Boy Scouts Association incorporated under the Royal Charter granted on the fourth day of January, 1912; “Boy Scout” means a Warranted Officer, Rover Scout, Boy Scout or Wolf Cub recognised as such under the Rules of the Association and includes all officers of the Association; “Commissioner” means the person holding or acting in the office of Chief Commissioner of Boy Scouts; and “Rules of the Association” means the rules relating to the Association contained in the book entitled “Policy, Organisation and Rules”, as amended, and subject to any variations sanctioned in due form in accordance with the Rules of the Association to meet local conditions. 3. A person shall not sell or offer for sale, any article bearing a badge, token or emblem specifically adopted for use under the authority of the Association, or which could reasonably be held to be an imitation of the same, unless that person has obtained authority from the Commissioner in writing to do so. 5.–(1) It shall be unlawful for any Boy Scout, not being otherwise lawfully entitled and authorised, to pretend to be, or to pass off as, or to arrogate to himself the authority, position or powers of, or to claim to be or to act as- (a) a member of the Police Force; (b) an officer exercising police functions in the service of any local authority; or (c) an agent or officer of the Government or any local authority or tribunal. er exercising police functions in the service of any local authority; or (c) an agent or officer of the Government or any local authority or tribunal. A person who contravenes any of the provisions of this Act commits an offence and on conviction shall be liable to a fine of two hundred shillings or to imprisonment for a term of one month or to both.
